New “Hayabusa” Bullet Train Has A Top Speed Of 320km/hr

Hayabusa is the latest E series bullet train developed by JR East (East Japan Railway Co) and recently, it went out on an test run between Shichinohe-Towada Station and Shin-Aomori Station.

With it’s top speed of 320km/hr and sustained speed 140km/hr, this high speed train was able to make the journey between these two stations in a matter of just 20 minutes. In English, Hayabusa translates into Pelegrine Falcon and it’s expected that this bullet train will make its inaugural run on December 4th when passengers will be able to travel between Tokyo and Shin-Aomori in just over 3 hours.
