Pedestrian View Of Los Angeles

This blog focuses on rail lines in LA country that exist, are under construction or under consideration. The Californian high-speed rail project and southern CA to Vegas project will also be covered. Since most of the relevant developments in the news, rail websites and blogosphere take place on weekdays, this blog will be updated primarily Monday through Friday and occasionally on the weekends. Your comments, criticism and suggestions are encouraged. Miscellaneous stuff will also appear here.

The Metropolitan Transit Authority will hold a meeting in San Pedro at 6 p.m. Tuesday to discuss the possibility of extending a light rail into the Harbor Area.

Current plans call for the light rail to reach San Pedro and Wilmington after 30 years. In April and May, the department held public meetings on four project alternatives. Findings will be discussed at the meeting, which will be held in the Port of Los Angeles board meeting room, 425 S. Palos Verdes St., San Pedro.
